Auto-rotate photos that appear sideways due to EXIF orientation metadata.
Rotate images by non-90° angles for creative layout designs.
Rotate scanned pages that were fed upside-down into the scanner.
Cameras and phones record which way the device was held when taking a photo. EXIF orientation tag tells viewers to rotate the image. Some viewers ignore it, causing sideways photos.
Rotating by 90°/180°/270° is lossless (just rearranges pixels). Rotating by arbitrary angles requires resampling and may slightly reduce quality.
Batch rotation is a planned feature. Currently, rotate images one at a time.
